About The Position

The Registered Nurse - PACU position is located in Naperville, IL, and is a part-time role with varying day shifts and call requirements. The role involves rendering professional nursing care, employing critical thinking skills to assess patients’ conditions, recognizing deviations, planning and evaluating care, monitoring patients’ progress, and recording pertinent observations. The nurse will also delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and function as a team member to fulfill unit goals.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date)
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
  • Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position

Responsibilities

  • Renders professional nursing care to provide quality patient care.
  • Employing critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes deviations, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
  • Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
  • Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
