Requirements

NYS licensed registered nurse required
Current CPR/BLS required
Graduate of an approved school of nursing, either AAS or BSN

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two (2) years of medical/surgical experience preferred
Cardiac monitoring preferred
Critical care preferred
Good Communication skills and skilled in customer service Reliability and flexibility

Responsibilities

Provides direction and guidance for patient activities and teaching related to the perioperative experience
Coordinates activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice
Provision of nursing care to patients and families in the perioperative setting including the pre surgical and post surgical patient
Ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments/nursing interventions
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Exhibits leadership skills through active participation in unit- and department-level nursing councils and committees
