About the Job: A PACU RN provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures. The PACU RN is responsible for monitoring and assessing the vital signs of patients, managing pain relief medications, administering intravenous fluids, and providing emotional support to family members during recovery. They also communicate with physicians regarding any changes in the patient's condition and may provide education to the patient's family about how to provide care for their loved one. The PACU RN must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while monitoring multiple patients at once and taking appropriate action when needed.
