About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center to find an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused environment where your expertise will contribute to providing exceptional post-anesthesia care. The PACU RN is responsible for the safe recovery and transition of patients from anesthesia to consciousness, ensuring they are stable and comfortable post-surgery. This role involves close patient monitoring, collaboration with physicians and anesthesia providers, and providing compassionate support to patients and families during the post-operative period.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum of 2 year of experience in PACU, critical care, or related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Compassionate communication and ability to provide patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition in the immediate post-anesthesia phase
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide education and updates to patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe transitions of care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations
