About The Position

The Hemodialysis RN is responsible for the direct nursing care and hemodialysis treatments on all assigned patients within the chronic hemodialysis unit; as a Team Leader, is responsible for the supervision of designated staff members; assists as needed with patient care and serves in a professional manner with emphasis on quality care.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of dialysis experience preferred.
• Current registration with the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
• Ability to use a variety of physical motions including standing, turning, bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without experiencing fatigue.
• Flexibility to change roles when assigned to function as Team Leader or Staff RN.
• Willingness to function as Charge Nurse when designated.
• Ability to provide nursing care and handle/direct problems to appropriate service.
• Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and delegate duties.
