This is a hybrid RN position primarily based at 1801 N. Senate Blvd., Suite 620, Indianapolis, IN 46202, with occasional travel to a secondary clinic location at 10300 N. Illinois St., Suite 2200, Carmel, IN. The RN will support an Ophthalmology clinic where approximately 90% of responsibilities are administrative and 10% involve in‑person patient care. Key duties include triaging phone calls and message pool inquiries, processing medication refills, scheduling appointments—including emergency visit follow‑ups—completing medical paperwork, managing referrals, and handling insurance prior authorizations. Clinical tasks are minimal but may include basic first aid and limited drug administration such as fluorescein angiography agents. Candidates with basic eye‑care knowledge or prior Ophthalmology experience are strongly preferred. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm No weekends! No holidays!

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
