About The Position

The position is within the Orthopedics department, offering part-time work hours with 8 or 12 hour shifts during the day or evening. The role includes working on weekends and holidays as required. The Graduate Nurse will provide professional nursing care while adhering to legal nursing responsibilities as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act. Initially, the Graduate Nurse will work under the supervision of an experienced registered nurse until they obtain full licensure.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Current Pennsylvania licensure and other state licensure as required.
• Valid Pennsylvania temporary practice permit for Graduate Nurse.
• Must complete the licensing examination within six months of hire date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of acute care nursing experience.
• Certification in this specialty area.

Responsibilities
