About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. Loyola Medicine Transport is based at Loyola University Medical Center and is part of a three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. Join a highly specialized transplant team where you’ll guide patients through one of the most meaningful journeys of their lives. As the RN Organ Transplant Coordinator, you’ll serve as the key clinical liaison for pre‑transplant patients—coordinating evaluations, educating patients and families, and ensuring seamless communication across the multidisciplinary care team. You will manage the full pre‑transplant process: organizing assessments, reviewing clinical data, maintaining accurate UNOS listings, and supporting patients through education, triage, and personalized care planning. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, dietitians, social workers, and insurance specialists to deliver an exceptional patient experience. This role also plays an important part in quality improvement, process refinement, and maintaining high standards of care across the transplant program.

Requirements

  • 3 years of professional nurse experience; at least 1 year of previous transplant, outpatient or dialysis experience highly desirable.
  • ADN required; BSN, bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
  • Current IL RN license
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certification in clinical or functional area of nursing granted by a national nursing organization
  • National Certification as Transplant Coordinator or other related specialty preferred.
