About The Position
Medical City Las Colinas is committed to investing in the latest technology enabling nurses to work more efficiently. Are you passionate about delivering patient-centered care? Submit your application for Registered Nurse Surgery position and spend more time at the bedside with the patient. The surgery staff nurse works collaboratively with physicians and anesthesia personnel to determine the patients' needs during procedures and assume responsibility for patient care, documentation and evaluation of the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care. Performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act and following standards set forth by Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) with emphasis on the surgical patient. Follows Universal Protocol including Time-out and is knowledgeable about scrub and circulating duties. The surgery staff will assume all on-call duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
