About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. The RN will assess patients' needs, develop and implement care plans, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform a range of nursing procedures with precision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the healthcare facility.

  • Experience with electronic medical record systems and documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health conditions, including physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, reporting significant changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Provide emotional support and patient education on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and other support staff as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes.
  • Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly and effectively, providing appropriate interventions and support.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Nursing Supervisor or designated manager.
