About The Position

The University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake is offering an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Rooms Consortium/Residency/Transition to Practice program, commencing on March 25, 2025. This program, known as Periop-101, is designed for nurses to scrub and circulate for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures, including organ transplantation, cardiac surgery, and various oncological procedures. Candidates must possess an active Washington RN license by March 15, 2025, to be eligible for this residency program.

Requirements

  • Two years of acute care nursing experience.
  • Surgical/Scrub Tech experience.
  • Anesthesia Tech experience.
  • For new graduate nurses, clinicals or Senior Practicum experience in the Surgical Services department.

Responsibilities

  • Scrub and circulate for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures.
  • Assist in various surgical procedures including organ transplantation and cardiac surgery.
  • Participate in the Periop-101 residency program to transition to practice as an Operating Room Nurse.
