About The Position

The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for their QUAD A Office Based Operating Room. This full-time position involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of patient care during surgical procedures, and performing duties in a private office suite on non-surgical days.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience in an outpatient surgery center setting.
• Experience in being a Nurse Circulator or Recovery Room Nurse.
• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and knowledge of physiology.
• Experience with ENT or plastic surgery procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and ensuring all pre-operative protocols are followed.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgical and/or recovery process, responding promptly to any changes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in operating room nursing.
