About The Position

Atrium Health University City is a community-based facility with 9 Operating Rooms, located on North Tryon, next to the UNCC Campus. It is not a trauma center but offers many specialty service lines including Orthopedics, Robotic, General, Urology, and Gynecology procedures. The facility has earned the AORN Go Clear designation for maintaining a smoke-free environment by managing surgical smoke plume. The team is described as small, close-knit, collaborative, and values relationships and promoting quality patient care. Atrium Health University City provides healthcare services in the University City, Mint Hill, North Mecklenburg, and Southwest Cabarrus regions in North Carolina, featuring an award-winning maternity center and an Emergency Department with over 65,000 patient visits annually. Specialties also include cancer care, diabetes care, heart care, neuroscience, rehabilitation, and more. The facility also has an on-site Farmer’s Market and Teaching Garden. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of previous operating room experience strongly preferred to be eligible for this role
