About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse-Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in Sitka, AK 99835. Contract Details Full time. 4–10-hour shifts, Tuesday-Friday. On call required. Start Date: 5/25/2026 Contract: 13 weeks Location: Sitka, AK 99835 Hourly Pay: $ 51.00 Non-taxed Stipend: $1,246.00 Weekly Total Pay: $2,776.00 Holiday Coverage Required: Yes EMR Used: Meditech Vaccine Policy: Flu vaccine required Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after traveler's fingerprint cards are received at Client in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance, please have your traveler make an appt for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid start date getting pushed back. This position is located within the Operating Room of SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium. We handle all types of elective and emergency cases performed, including abdominal, thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic, Orthopedics, Vascular and OB/GYN. Multi-tasks efficiently and ensures the surgical cases proceed throughout the day on time. Utilizes after-hour call services, to staff the Operating Rooms (OR), for nights, holidays and weekends. Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years OR experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN, Associate degree in nursing or Diploma in nursing) desired
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • A valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
  • Must possess current BLS/BCLS certification
  • Must possess current ACLS & PALS certifications
  • Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Rooms strongly preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Scrub in for surgeries and assist the surgical team with procedures
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as directed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized operating room environment
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families before, during, and after surgeries
  • Document patients' medical histories, surgical procedures, and postoperative plans
