About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room to provide high-quality perioperative patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role involves collaborating closely with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care using the nursing process. The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, assisting during procedures, and delivering comprehensive patient education.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in Operating Room or perioperative nursing preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care in the Operating Room setting
- Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient assessments
- Assist physicians during surgical and invasive procedures
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of medical records
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready
