In this role, you will champion patient safety and advocacy by managing the surgical environment and monitoring patient conditions before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal recovery outcomes. You will also facilitate high-precision surgical interventions by expertly managing sterile instruments and assisting physicians with critical tasks like suturing and wound exposure. Furthermore, you will coordinate the surgical "nerve center" as a circulator, maintaining clear communication with the entire medical team and documenting the patient journey with meticulous detail. You will optimize the operative environment by preparing specialized equipment and sterile fields, ensuring the surgical suite is primed for high-quality, efficient care delivery, and drive clinical excellence through teamwork by collaborating directly with surgeons and anesthesia providers to anticipate needs and mitigate risks during invasive procedures.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
