The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) provides safe, high‑quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast‑paced, highly specialized environment. This OR unit has 9 operating room beds, and the nurse-to-patient ration is 2:1. The patient population includes surgical patients requiring perioperative care across various specialties. SHIFT Full Time Days 4 (10 hour shifts) Required rotational call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays (Approx. 24 hours of call every 6 weeks) The Clinical Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency.
