About The Position

Atrium Health University City is a community-based facility with 9 Operating Rooms located on North Tryon, next to the UNCC Campus. It is not a trauma center but offers many specialty service lines including Orthopedics, Robotic, General, Urology, and Gynecology procedures. The facility has earned the AORN Go Clear designation for maintaining a smoke-free environment by managing surgical smoke plume. The team is described as small, close-knit, collaborative, and participates in potlucks, valuing relationships and promoting quality patient care. As a skilled and compassionate RN, the role involves playing a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This includes using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
