Our IU Health North Operating Room (OR) supports both adult and pediatric patients, offering a high‑variety surgical experience. From general surgery, ortho (including joints and spine), urology, ENT, breast reductions, gynecology, robotics, and vascular—to healthy pediatric cases supported in partnership with Riley anesthesiologists, no two days look the same. You’ll care for patients undergoing procedures such as bowel resections, hernia repairs, gastric bypass, mastectomies, reconstructions, joint replacements, spine surgeries, tonsils, ear tubes, appendectomies, and more, everything except neuro and cardiac. Join our highly collaborative surgical team where nurses work closely with surgeons, anesthesia staff, CSTs, and OR assistants to provide exceptional care across a wide range of specialties. Nurses care for one patient at a time, allowing for focused, high‑quality care without additional family‑management pressures during procedures. Team members often work together for full shifts, fostering strong relationships and a supportive culture that keeps many staff returning.
