St. Elizabeth Hospital, located in Fort Morgan, Colorado, is a Level 3 Trauma Center and an American College of Cardiology Accredited Chest Pain Center serving northeastern Colorado. Providing care through-out the region, St. Elizabeth Hospital provides cardiology, maternal, emergency, surgical, pediatrics, and acute care inpatient services in addition to the multitude of subspecialists in our specialty clinic. At 50 beds, St. Elizabeth is the region’s referral center serving a wide span of northeastern Colorado. Since 1952, St. Elizabeth has been serving the community in Morgan County which is one of the most diverse counties in Colorado speaking more than 28 languages. Depending on your location, you may be eligible for up to $8,000 in relocation assistance! As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for: Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Day to Day duties: Circulate and/or Scrub on all cases. GEN (Open/Laparoscopic/endoscopic), Ortho (Trauma/ Totals/Sports Med), OB/GYN (Open, Laparoscopic and C-Sections), Trauma. No dedicated service line teams. Associates are cross trained for all services. Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day’s cases. Acting as an advocate for patient before, during and after surgery. 3 OR Suites, 1 Endo Room, 1 OB/C-Section suite. Approx. 100+ Cases per month Schedule- PRN- Variable days of week and start times per Surgical Volume and Current Unit needs. TBD with OR manager during interviews. Per policy PRN requires a Min availability for 5 shifts in a 6 week schedule block and 2 holiday per year Call not required

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
  • Per policy PRN requires a Min availability for 5 shifts in a 6 week schedule block and 2 holiday per year

Nice To Haves

  • One year of RN experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
