The surgery department at St. Catherine Hospital has a main OR with four suites, Urology suite and GI suite. Our average monthly volume is approximately 450 to 500 patients. We specialize in general surgery, orthopedics, GYN, OB c-sections, urology, plastics and podiatry. We service all age groups except neonates to two years. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for: Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Day to Day duties: Circulate and/or Scrub on all cases. Primarily, GEN, Ortho (Totals /Sports Medicine/ Trauma), GYN, OB C-Sections, Urology, Podiatry, and Plastics. Service all age groups except neonates to two years. No dedicated Service line teams. All Associates are cross trained for all services. Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day’s cases. Acting as an advocate for patient before, during and after surgery. 4 OR Suites, 1 Urology suite, 1 GI suite Approx. 450-550+ cases per month Schedule: 36hrs/week - Days- Variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs. Call is required for all FT employees. 4-6 Shifts per month- Call in rotation with OR team 30Min Callback radius required
