About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to support both adult and pediatric surgical services . The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative skills, prior travel experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty surgical environment.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (state-specific)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
- BLS certification required
- Degree accreditation must be included in profile
- OR minimum 5 years of experience
- Call requirement averages ~4 shifts per month (varied formats: evening, overnight, backup call)
- Must be comfortable with high-acuity surgical cases
- Floating required based on facility needs
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be declared at submission
- EMR System: Epic
Nice To Haves
- CNOR preferred
- Prior travel experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room
- Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative procedures
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
- Prepare and manage surgical equipment and supplies
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures
- Document all patient care activities accurately in EMR
- Float to other units or campuses as required
