The RN will provide high-quality care to patients receiving infusion therapy in an outpatient setting. This role involves administering intravenous medications, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment plans. Identifies challenges and supports staff in resolving them Cultivates a supportive work environment that promotes staff growth and satisfaction Executes physicians' orders accurately and promptly Administers medications, chemotherapy and IV solutions with precision while following established protocols. Ensures thorough and accurate documentation and reporting Maintains availability of necessary supplies and equipment Contributes to planning and implementing improvements Participates in hospital safety and infection-control initiatives Remains composed and resourceful during emergencies Assists with staff orientation and in-service training Supports unit and department performance improvement efforts Educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and post-infusion care. Perform venipuncture and demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion and management of vascular access devices (e.g., PICC lines, ports). Ensure proper handling, preparation, and disposal of infusion medications and equipment in compliance with safety standards. Helps review and update policies and procedures Protects patient privacy and confidentiality Demonstrates initiative, concern, and adherence to hospital policies Maintains punctuality, efficiency, and minimal absences Builds strong relationships with nursing staff, physicians, other departments, and visitors
