Registered Nurse - Oncology
About The Position
LifeWorks Wellness Center, the largest integrative medicine practice in the US and Florida’s leading natural health clinic, is seeking a skilled Oncology RN. The center provides alternative medical doctors who treat a wide range of chronic health conditions naturally, attracting patients globally for their holistic treatment programs. The Oncology RN will assist the Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT) practitioner in the safe and accurate delivery of IPT. This role involves administering IPT treatments, providing patient support during sessions, answering questions, and maintaining a comfortable and reassuring environment. The ideal candidate is an RN dedicated to improving patient outcomes and quality of life through integrative cancer care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Able to maintain composure in fast-paced, emotionally charged environments
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative team player with a patient-centered approach
- Must speak English
- Must have excellent interactive communication skills, making patients feel comfortable and at ease
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN)
- Previous nursing experience in oncology or a related medical field
- Familiarity with cancer treatment protocols and integrative care approaches
Responsibilities
- Prepares IPT treatment IVs accurately and in accordance with protocol.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and distraction-free treatment area; completes equipment setup/cleanup.
- Ensures patient chart is present before treatment or writing orders to review history and labs.
- Administers IPT treatments as directed by the APRN and per standard protocol.
- Documents all treatments, observations, and patient responses clearly in the EMR.
- Responds immediately to patient emergencies by alerting the APRN or appropriate leadership.
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times, in and outside the clinic.
- Communicates promptly and effectively with the APRN regarding patient needs or concerns.
- Demonstrates kindness and professionalism with staff, patients, and vendors.
- Follows safety, legal, and procedural standards to ensure a secure work environment.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality in all clinic and common areas.
