Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification specializing in Chemotherapy preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year Acute Care hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care for oncology patients, including the administration of complex treatments and rigorous monitoring of patient status in strict adherence to specialized safety protocols.
• Serve as the primary navigator for the interdisciplinary team, aligning physician orders with holistic care plans to ensure seamless, well-coordinated patient journeys from admission through discharge.
• Diligently track patient conditions and treatment responses, providing real-time documentation and proactive communication to the healthcare team to optimize clinical outcomes and patient comfort.
• Orchestrate comprehensive discharge and continuity-of-care strategies, ensuring patients and their families are supported with the resources and education necessary for life beyond the unit.
