About The Position

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Progressive Care team at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full time day shift opportunity. Our Oncology Progressive Care team is focused on providing individualized quality care to patients with cancer related diagnoses and blood disorders. Nurses on this unit are specially trained in caring for people with cancer and have received additional education in the biology of cancer and chemotherapy. We have some exciting developments ahead, as we will be expanding our oncology care to include CAR-T and Stem Cell therapies over the next year! As a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Progressive Care , you will: Provide quality nursing care to the patient in the Oncology Department. Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Educate of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serve as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
