About The Position
Exciting Nursing Opportunity at UPMC Western Maryland! Are you a Nurse or soon-to-be Nurse ready for a dynamic role? Join our 7 South/Oncology Med/Surg Unit! We offer rotating shifts, a career ladder, and competitive pay based on your experience. Our unit provides high-acuity patient care focusing on respiratory conditions, ENT surgeries, chemotherapy, and palliative/comfort care. Minimum hiring rate: $33.75 (non BSN RN), $35.50 (BSN). Candidates will be placed into the appropriate title and pay rate by recruitment. What we can offer you: Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 Monthly Loan Repayment program offering $20,000 over three years Up to 5.5 weeks of Paid Time Off annually, plus seven paid holidays Tuition reimbursement up to $6,000 per academic year What we are looking for in an RN: Safe work practices, patient teaching, supporting new staff, continuous development Applying the nursing process, improving quality of care, identifying opportunities for quality improvement
Requirements
- 0-2 years experience
- Good clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients
- UPMC-approved national certification preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Graduate Nurses will have 120 days from graduation to obtain the RN License
