About The Position

Regions is seeking an experienced RN to work in a part time, day shift position in our Infusion Clinic. In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, you will provide professional nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation in accordance with Oncology Nursing Society and institutional standards of care. When working in the oncology clinic, the nurse functions in a care coordination role, addressing patient needs and communicating with physicians, inpatient, homecare, and hospice staff as appropriate. When working in the chemotherapy infusion room, administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other intravenous medications according to established standards. The role demonstrates a caring, competent manner to instill patient confidence and contribute to an environment that is centered on the needs of patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing with one year of RN experience OR completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing OR master’s degree in nursing.
  • One year hospital nursing or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year in oncology care or outpatient oncology clinic setting OR at least one year of infusion therapy experience.
  • For Per Diem: minimum of 3 years (6240 hours) of RN experience (at manager’s discretion, relative related experience may preclude 3-year minimum nursing requirement for per diem).
  • Effective 1/1/26 and forward: Current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification or willing to obtain within 2 years of hire OR Current ONS/ONCC Biotherapy and Chemotherapy certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months ALONG WITH successful completion of 36 cancer-related continuing education nursing contact hours for each Commission on Cancer 3-year accreditation cycle (tracked by dept).
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Minnesota.
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin (or received within 1 year of hire or have documentation showing it is in-process within 6 months of hire).
  • BLS through AHA certified program.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent experience in chemotherapy administration.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
  • ONS/ONCC Biotherapy and Chemotherapy certification.
