Our team of board-certified, fellowship-trained medical oncologists and certified advanced practice providers deliver on-site care and treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy, at affiliated infusion centers throughout our region. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
  • Minimum Experience: New graduate, within first (1 st ) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) Year experience).
  • Licensure Requirement: Valid Tennessee RN license, Fire, safety/security, infection control and CPR are Required .
  • Continuing Education: Ten (10) contact hours required annually (5 hours to enhance clinical expertise).
  • RN license

Responsibilities

  • Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and patient needs.
  • Evaluates care outcomes.
  • Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision.
  • Introduces new employees/students to unit routines.
  • Participates on unit-based committees.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
  • Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
