Description: As a Registered Nurse On-Call (RNOC), your role would be to create, plan and direct the hospice care team utilizing nursing processes of assessment, interventions, implementation and evaluation. You will effectively interact with all members of the Interdisciplinary Team as well as with your patients and their loved ones while maintaining the highest standards of care and professional nursing clinical competency. A Registered Nurse On-Call provides holistic nursing care to terminally ill patients and their families after normal business hours. Provides appropriate support for families at time of death. Nursing care is based on the nursing process, consisting of patient assessments, diagnosis of key problems, patient education and evaluation of patient outcomes .

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday weekly
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills.
  • Ability to provide patient education and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Time management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of pain management & symptom control.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospice case management.
  • Critical Care, Surgery or Oncology experience

Responsibilities
