The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Addictive Mental Disorders/Montana Chemical Dependency Center. This position provides nursing care to ensure patients of the Montana Chemical Dependency Center are safe and healthy. Responsibilities include observing and assessing patients’ health conditions; reviewing chemical dependency history and analyzing need to detoxification including breathalyzer and other drug screenings; assigning work to Licenses Practical Nurses (LPN) and Treatment Technicians (TT); and providing guidance and training as necessary. This is a short-term position and is not eligible for permanent status or state benefits such as sick, vacation or holiday time. Dependent on number of hours worked this position may be eligible for state health insurance benefits. Employment is expected to last up to 90 working days per year. This position is an on-call role and does not have standard set hours.
