About The Position

We are seeking experienced, compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team at the VA Medical Center, located in Charleston, SC . As a key member of our dynamic healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care and public health education to veterans in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. About the Role: You will perform the roles appropriate to a Registered Nurse supporting the medical team at the Chemotherapy (Chemo) Infusion Clinic . Your responsibilities will likely include: · Providing direct patient care: Assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions. · Performing complex procedures: Including wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with surgical interventions. · Collaborating with the healthcare team: Working closely with physicians, other nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. · Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment: Adhering to strict infection control protocols and always ensuring patient safety. Specific Tasks include. · Clinical Preparation & Assessment · Chemotherapy Administration · Patient Education & Support · Documentation & Coordination

Requirements

  • Active and Unrestricted RN license in any US state from an accredited institution
  • Candidates must have completed the Oncology Nursing Society Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration course.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical skills: Including assessment, medication administration, and patient education

Nice To Haves

  • ONCC certification is preferred
