For more information, visit www.jobs.premisehealth.com. As a Full Time Occupational Health Registered Nurse , you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in San Antonio, TX . The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 3pm -11:30pm. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in an urgent care setting with strong basic clinical skills. A commitment to excellent customer service, willingness to learn, and readiness to jump in wherever needed are essential to supporting our patients, staff, and overall clinic success.
Requirements
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
- At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
- Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
- Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
- Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
- Performs other duties as assigned
