About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. As a Registered Nurse you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to assess, recognize and address patients' psychological and physical needs, foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind, communicate compassionately and effectively, assist in developing individualized treatment plans, comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines, oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs, participate in clinical team conferences, and follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
  • Registered Nurse with an ASN/ADN degree must complete a BSN degree within four (4) years from the Registered Nurse's date of hire unless the Registered Nurse has a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting.
