Registered Nurse - OB - MGH
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy academic medical center's obstetrical clinic. This role focuses on providing comprehensive outpatient obstetric care to low, medium, and high-risk patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a commitment to enhancing patient care and experience Summary Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP) preferred.
- EPIC experience strongly preferred.
- OB/GYN nursing experience and strong IV skills are a plus.
- 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience is a plus, ideally in an outpatient or ambulatory setting.
- Excellent skills in communication, critical thinking, and time management.
- Ability to multitask and provide quality care in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
- Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
- Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
- Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
