About The Position

Responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process to an age specific group of patients and their significant others using existing resources including time, material and personnel. Communicates and collaborates effectively with patients/significant others and all members of the health team. Documents nursing activities and patient outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to medication administration, physical assessment, phlebotomy, point of care testing and clinical patient education.

Requirements

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or closely related field preferred.
• Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 year of hire.
• Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association .
