Capital Health is seeking dedicated individuals for its Nurse Residency Program, specifically for the January Cohort. This full-time position is designed for Registered Nurses who are looking to transition from entry-level beginner nurses to competent professional nurses. The program offers a dynamic opportunity to work alongside experienced clinical professionals in various specialties, including Critical Care, Emergency, Telemetry, Maternal/Child Health, Perioperative, and Medical/Surgical. The residency program is structured to provide comprehensive training and support, ensuring that participants develop effective decision-making skills related to clinical judgment and performance. The Nurse Residency Program spans 15 months and includes a combination of didactic lectures, hands-on skills workshops, clinical rotations, and web-based modules. Participants will engage in a 9-11 week clinical unit rotation, guided by clinical preceptors, and will have opportunities for multidisciplinary observation experiences. The program also emphasizes the importance of leadership skills at the point of care and encourages the incorporation of research-based evidence into practice. Each participant will formulate individual career development plans, supported by a mentor throughout the program. To be eligible for the program, candidates must have graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), passed the NCLEX, and obtained a New Jersey RN license by the start date. Additionally, candidates must have current BLS certification from the American Heart Association and must commit to a minimum of two years in a full-time position at Capital Health.
