About The Position

This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards. NICU Nurse is specifically responsible for the care of the well and ill newborn who may require neonatal intensive care services. Birth Center and Pediatrics are considered "sister" units and staff are expected to float between these units. Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa or recent RN graduate

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Previous experience in well or ill newborn, and/or obstetric care and/or acute care preferred.
  • Preferred certification in low risk neonatal nursing care / professional certification in related to clinical specialty (from the Magnet approved certifications)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.
