About The Position

Coordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Minnesota RN licensure.
Current BLS certification.
Current (minimum of 1 year within the last 2 years) NICU experience which includes ability to care for infants: requiring assisted ventilation, surgical cases per and post op, and pre-term infants where strong knowledge of developmental care is expected.
Float Team or PICU RNs who are able to demonstrate Neonatal Competencies with these same patient types will be evaluated and considered to meet Level 3 qualifications.
An informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager is required prior to awarding the position.
Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required or obtained during orientation.
