About The Position

We are seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse , sometimes referred to as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, Neonatal Nurse or a NICU RN. The NICU RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill or premature newborns who require intensive medical attention in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) . NICU RN’s work closely with other healthcare professionals to support the complex needs of fragile infants. Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess newborns’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition while documenting observations accurately
  • Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and specialized treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, incubators, and feeding tubes to support infant care
  • Provide respiratory support and assist with resuscitation when necessary, ensuring a sterile and safe environment
  • Educate and support families regarding their infant’s condition, care plan, and progress while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
