About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients' needs with the nurse' competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA).
• AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
• AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU must be completed within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Two years in acute care.
• Previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry or ICU.
