About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. This position is part of the New Graduate Nurse Residency program designed to support new graduate RNs in their transition from classroom to confident practice. The program includes paid clinical hours, webinars, simulations, case studies, and monthly in-person meetings.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of their hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status.
• Collaboratively develop individualized plan of care using assessment information and critical thinking skills.
• Direct the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
• Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise plan of care as indicated.
• Promote the nursing profession and participate in the development of others.
