Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- NIHSS certification required either prior to hire or during initial orientation.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with severe stroke, seizure and other neurological disorders.
- Become NIHSS Certified.
- Assist patients requiring EMU monitoring.
- Provide wound care and manage drainage tubes for post-surgical brain and spine procedures.
- Support patients with neuropsychological/behavioral health diagnoses.
