This Registered Nurse position involves assessing assigned patients, evaluating and modifying treatment plans based on patient responses and physician orders, and documenting nursing care. Responsibilities include reviewing and reporting diagnostic tests, consulting with healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate patient care, and preparing patients for examinations and treatments while considering age and culture. The role requires nurturing a compassionate environment, performing patient tests, safely administering medications, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines like HIPAA. The nurse will communicate care plans to patients and families, assist in discharge planning, prioritize assignments for superior patient care, and safely operate medical equipment. Additionally, the nurse will serve as a preceptor for new staff and adhere to University and unit-level policies.
