Neurologic Trauma Unit 5 North Neuro-Trauma/Surgical is a fast-paced, 25 private bed brain and spinal cord injury and insult unit. We are a Medical-Surgical unit and considered best and most complex neuro-trauma unit in the State of Indiana. 5N focuses a wide range of neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses including, but not limited to, TBIs, cerebral hemorrhages, spinal cord injury, tumors, seizures, stroke, and disease processes that affect central nervous system function (meningitis, hydrocephalus, etc.).

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
