Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Mother-friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements; 1-on call shift per 6-week schedule. Neonatal ICU/NICU Department highlights: · Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Our team is like a family with a newly expanded Level III Neonatal ICU/NICU unit with 16-beds – utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, vents, and working with Feeders/Growers in our family-centered care unit

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
  • One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN is preferred
  • One year or more of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
