Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Total of 49 bed department. Achievements: Accredited ASC Commission on Cancer Patients we serve: Surgical Oncology: Pre and post-operative care for patients with a cancer diagnosis. Nursing care focuses on pain management, monitoring input and output, advancing nutrition, drain and tube management, postoperative ambulation, wound care, and discharge teaching. Head and Neck Oncology: Specialized pre and postoperative care for patients with head and neck cancer diagnosis. General Surgery: Pre and post operative care or medical management to prepare for surgery.
