About The Position

The Imaging Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing imaging procedures. This role involves administering oral sedation, performing nursing duties during diagnostic tests, and responding to emergency situations within the Imaging Department and throughout Hattiesburg Clinic.

Requirements

• Graduation certificate from an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Current state nursing license.
• Current B.L.S, A.C.L.S, and P.A.L.S certification.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other staff members.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, and push heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Imaging Department.
• Administer oral sedation as required for imaging procedures.
• Perform nursing duties during diagnostic tests.
• Respond to emergency needs of patients in the Imaging Department and throughout the clinic.
• Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs and stretchers, and support them during transport to various modalities.
