The Registered Nurse will assist the physician in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures. Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Requirements

  • Pass the NCLEX-RN.
  • Active RN license in the state working in.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
  • Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
  • Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent patient relation and customer services skills.
  • Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Dermatology experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s).
  • Assist provider in medical, cosmetic, and/or laser procedures.
  • Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and/or procedures within established guidelines.
  • Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability.
  • Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order.
  • Provide pre-care and post-care treatment or pre- and post-operative instructions as needed.
  • Provide UVB treatments, PDT treatments, and injections of Biologics under MD, DO or APP supervision.
  • Daily scan all retail, cosmetic products, medical supplies, and alert Lead and/or office management of any low-level supplies.
  • Maintain progress notes and/or photographs in appropriate database, when applicable.
  • Handle clients’/patients’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
  • Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor on an as needed basis.
