About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Unit delivers safe, compassionate, and comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic conditions. The RN utilizes critical thinking skills, evidence-based practice, and advanced monitoring technology to provide high-quality care and promote positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current Florida RN License (unrestricted).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (from AHA).
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of recent acute care experience in a hospital setting preferred; Telemetry experience strongly desired.
• Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Must clear background and drug test required.

Nice To Haves

• NIHSS certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Telemetry experience strongly desired.
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent acute care experience in a hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, assess patient condition changes, and communicate findings promptly to physicians.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards at all times.
